Intelligent Lighting
An intelligent light is a moving head or an automated light fixture which can be programmed or controlled for many variables, including color, pattern, focus, prism, pan, tilt, rotation speed and animation. Intelligent products include scanners, moving heads and color changers. Intelligent lighting can be pre-programmed and played back using simple commands, or controlled live. Intelligent lights typically are connected through a light board that sends out a control signal. The data is sent usually either through Analog or the more popular DMX 512 Protocol, now available as DMX software for PCs.
